JuJutsu Kaisen: Execution is not entirely an brand-new film. Rather, the latest movie from the Jujutsu Kaisen action franchise serves as a collection of the show's sophomore season combined with the first two episodes of its next season, which kicks off the Culling Games narrative from the original manga. This establishes Execution, which just got a new trailer, the first way to view the start of the next season ahead of its 2026 January debut. The movie premieres in cinemas in Japan starting November 7, and in North America on Dec. 5.

The second installment of JuJutsu Kaisen propelled the series to become 2024's anime of the year, and when the two-part finale were premiered one after another, it was the subject of discussion for multiple weeks in the animation fandom. Audiences were aware of the problems with the production, which made them appreciate what they saw even more.
