Los Angeles experienced widespread festivities after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-match World Series championship. Fans worldwide united with local residents in celebration, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a team has achieved back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Massive Turnout
Los Angeles area events featured a downtown parade on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.
Social media videos show thousands of Los Angeles residents packing downtown streets, many displaying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The team was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the crowds, raising the championship trophy proudly.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to do this,” the star player remarked through an translator.
The parade route concluded at the stadium, where the players walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard spinning music and the artist cruising a light blue vintage Cadillac around the field.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, named the World Series’ Most Valuable Player, spoke directly about the victory.

In contrast, Mark Walter received a less warm reception at the rally. Video footage from the gathering appear to show Walter taking the stage to a combination of cheers and boos, with negative shouts punctuating his speech.
The World Series acted as a positive moment in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An estimated quarter-million people attended to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to team member Freddie Freeman, supporters this year showed equal or greater support.
“It seems it’s nearly twice from last year,” Freeman said. “The supporters are incredible. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
