The goalkeeper Not a save to perform in the first half before tested from an opponent's curling effort. One well-timed sliding challenge against an Albanian attacker demonstrated excellent game intelligence. 6/10

John Stones Pushed forward when in possession, a familiar role previously. At times was too casual in possession and the tactic abandoned after the break. 6
The tall defender Always dangerous from dead balls, typically, but may be an alternative to Stones in defense rather than alongside him. A loose ball later in the match came close to an opener from the visitors. 6
Nico O’Reilly A further composed showing from the 20-year-old after his debut against Serbia. A teammate was unable to take the most of a gorgeous flick behind their defense. His position is his to lose at this stage. 7
The newcomer His maiden beginning in an England shirt. Somewhat sloppy on the ball however his inswinging deliveries were a threat. A handy game manager available to the coach to utilize versus teams who drop deep. Cautioned for a rash challenge. 6/10
The midfielder Crosses from dead balls and set-plays were dangerous. Enjoyed license to roam down the left flank but was in an offside position upon receiving with a chance to score. Granted a merited rest after an hour. Six
Jude Bellingham Functioned in a forward spot out wide and also did plenty of defensive duties. Showed moments of class and scuffed a shot wide. Substituted late on for Rogers, his rival, after being booked. Seven
Jarrod Bowen Was presented with England’s top opening of the first half, his effort well saved from the Albanian keeper. As a teammate holding position, it fell to him to stretch the play out wide although his balls from wide areas varied in quality. Taken off with 15 to go. 6
Harry Kane The decisive figure netting seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth finishes at international level. The opener a typical opportunist's goal while the second an excellent header having drifted away off his defender. At 32, he’s only getting better and England have every chance in future competitions with him up top. 8/10
Eberechi Eze Struggled to make an impact out wide. Was presented with a good opening after being played in by Bellingham yet Strakosha kept it out. Rashford produced a bigger an impact in his place. 5/10
